Quick Products Update

Hello All,

Just wanted to give you all a quick products update!

First, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is available to purchase for those interested. As I stated when I first mentioned this product on the blog, if you can live without an SD Card reader of any sort and value portability, this could be the product for you! Feel free to check out video reviews on the web.

Second... It looks like Lenovo has released another Chromebook, The Lenovo Chromebook 3. This is a 14 inch Chromebook with a Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 32 GB hard drive. It's very similar to the Lenovo Chromebook I have now and that gets the job done as far as my real estate business goes. It has all the necessary ports including a MicroSD Card reader and is only $249 on Lenovo's website... This could be an intriguing value option for real estate professionals who just need a computer that works!

Lastly... it looks like Acer has released various Chromebook 314 Models... one of which has a Pentium Silver with 8 GB of RAM and a 64 GB Hard Drive, which is very intriguing. They also come with all the necessary ports that us Real Estate professionals need including a card reader!

There are more products to come! If you're a real estate professional thinking about making the switch to Chrome OS like I have, now is really the time to start seriously considering it.

As always, thanks for reading!

Until next time,

P.S. Stay safe and healthy! Please follow local guidelines and regulations regarding COVID-19. Thank you.

A new gem from HP

Hello All, HP has been on a roll lately, now coming out with a new flagship consumer Chromebook, the Chromebook x360 14c. There will be multiple variants of this Chromebook and it will be available both directly from HP and from Best Buy. At minimum, you get a Pentium 6405u processor with 4 GB of RAM and at the high end you get an Intel 10th Gen i5 with 8 GB of RAM. I am not too sure about hard drive specifications but the good news is that it does come with all the necessary ports including a card reader! It is also USI Pen compatible for those who like an e-signature to look like a wet signature. This is a 14" convertible machine with a touchscreen which should be the right mix of business and pleasure for most real estate professionals. By all accounts, the lowest spec Pentium model will start at $499 once it becomes available. I am personally very interested in this one and I may very well get one myself, though I've probably said that before on here and haven

Just Checking In

Hello, Just thought I'd check in. There is not a lot going on right now in terms of Chrome OS for Real Estate because of the recent events. I stand with the protesters and I have spoken at depth about this on my personal social media accounts, so I will not go into detail on that here other than to say that Black Lives Matter. Just wanted to make sure everyone was doing well. I hope have some news to post in the very near future in terms of Chrome OS for real estate. Until next time, Dave

Using Chromebooks for Training

Hello All, One thing Realtors and Brokers have to consistently do is train and earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units). The cool thing is that this can all be done completely online and since every online learning platform for Real Estate that I have encountered is completely web-based, that means you can do it on Chrome OS! A couple great places to get real estate training done online are: The CE Shop NAR Online Learning Center I am aware that there are other sites out there; I just personally have not used them yet so I am not going to recommend a site that I have not personally used yet. Another thing I might add is that we should not just be focused on what is just required in terms of CEUs, we should also be constantly learning about different types of technology and how they may help (or in some cases not help) how we conduct business in the Real Estate industry. Usually I have a little more to say than this, but with the current pandemic situation things have been a
