Just Checking In

Hello,

Just thought I'd check in.

There is not a lot going on right now in terms of Chrome OS for Real Estate because of the recent events. I stand with the protesters and I have spoken at depth about this on my personal social media accounts, so I will not go into detail on that here other than to say that Black Lives Matter.

Just wanted to make sure everyone was doing well. I hope have some news to post in the very near future in terms of Chrome OS for real estate.

Until next time,

Dave

Long Time No Update.. so let's talk AMD and Zillow

Hey All! I know it's been quite a long time since I posted so I just wanted to check in and apologize for not posting in what seems like forever. There is not a lot of news on the Chrome OS front except for one major thing... AMD Ryzen Chromebooks are on the way! I personally prefer AMD processors to Intel processors and AMD's Ryzen processors are the cream of the crop. My Windows laptop (that I hardly use anymore because of how much I prefer using Chrome OS) has an AMD Ryzen 5 processor in it for example. Lenovo and HP have already announced Chromebooks with AMD Ryzen processors on the way and AMD has said that Acer and Asus will also be announcing such devices in the near future. According to benchmarks, the AMD Ryzen processors outperform Intel Core processors, so this is very exciting for us real estate professionals who want better performance in the devices we use to conduct our business. I feel very excited with these developments regarding AMD... Unfortunately I can...

A new gem from HP

Hello All, HP has been on a roll lately, now coming out with a new flagship consumer Chromebook, the Chromebook x360 14c. There will be multiple variants of this Chromebook and it will be available both directly from HP and from Best Buy. At minimum, you get a Pentium 6405u processor with 4 GB of RAM and at the high end you get an Intel 10th Gen i5 with 8 GB of RAM. I am not too sure about hard drive specifications but the good news is that it does come with all the necessary ports including a card reader! It is also USI Pen compatible for those who like an e-signature to look like a wet signature. This is a 14" convertible machine with a touchscreen which should be the right mix of business and pleasure for most real estate professionals. By all accounts, the lowest spec Pentium model will start at $499 once it becomes available. I am personally very interested in this one and I may very well get one myself, though I've probably said that before on here and haven...

New and Upcoming Devices!

Hello All, Let's talk about some new and upcoming Chrome OS devices! The future is bright for Chrome OS hardware. Asus Chromebook Flip C436: This is the new flagship 2-in-1 Chromebook Model from Asus. Starting at $799, this Chromebook offers all the necessities and then some for a Real Estate Professional (or well anyone for that matter). It has a 10th Gen Core i3 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB hard drive to start (more expensive price points have different specs, this is the $799 model). It has USB ports, a Micro SD card reader (which is huge for those of us who do BPOs and other photo related activities), and a 14" Full HD display, which is more than enough to get work done. Price point might be a little high for many real estate professionals and the tech specs are definitely overkill for the vast majority of real estate professionals in terms of Chrome OS (these would be mandatory on certain operating systems), but on paper this delivers all the goods. Samsung Ga...
